PANSiK fashion school provides one, two and three year programs, as well as intensive courses. At the same time, the school organizes seminars and fashion workshops which our students can either intent for free or with a significant discount.
Registrations run throughout the year. Courses begin every October for the winter semester and every March for the spring semester.

ADVANCED FASHION STUDIES

ADVANCED FASHION STUDIES (AFS)

Duration: 1 year

The Course

The Advanced Fashion Studies course is a specialized and high level educational program directed to those who wish to advance their knowledge on garment creation,  curation and promotion.

A fashion designer is highly affected by the technological and sociopolitical changes in the global fashion industry.

In addition with all the technical and theoretical knowledge, the profession also requires marketing and fashion branding, the use of new technologies and the creation of the sale procedure for a collection.

The program includes haute couture classes, specialized creation techniques, menswear, fashion marketing, branding, business in fashion, project research and design.

Designed to offer both highly theoretical and practical knowledge on the subject, this program succeeds the highest level of fashion studies for students in Greece.

The academic tutors are well established professional s with a multi year professional and educational experience on the field, who are constantly informed on all new developments and techniques in the fashion industry and applied arts.

 

Entry criteria

The acceptance of a student for this program requires the following:

  1. The successful completion of the 2 year Fashion Design & construction program at PANSiK or
  2. A successful completion of a Fashion Design and Creation program from another educational institute (min 2 years).

For students coming from another institution, final scores and portfolio’s assessment are required.

In addition, the program exclusively offers the students the following:

  • PANSiK books (in Greek) that include a design book, a pattern making book and fabric theory.
  • An innovative electronic pattern program with adobe Illustaror exclusively at PANSiK.
  • Additional seminars that are offered either free of charge or with a special price (ex 3d printing, origami techniques, Japanese costume)

The Program

The FDC course is a 2 or 3 years program and is the most integrated design and construction program , since it includes all the fashion sections from the initial idea of a garment to its implementation to a 3D form. The program also includes the way to properly present ideas, the experimentation with specialized techniques and materials , research and analysis of the international market and the promotion of the designer to the fashion industry.

Designed to offer both highly theoretical and practical knowledge on the subject, this program achieves the highest level of fashion studies for students in Greece.

FOUNDATION in FASHION DESIGN (FFD)

Duration: 1 year

The Program

Fashion Design Foundation  is the only spesialised fashion course in Greece that fully prepares prospect students for their entry in universities abroad.

It  is an annual program that focuses on the thorough design of a garment. The syllabus of the program covers every aspect of fashion design, from the initial idea, the final illustration, the digital design and the theory/history of fashion (behind the design) until the creation of a final portfolio.
Combining the theory with practice, our students have the opportunity to participate during their studies to national competitions, fashion exhibitions and cultural events.

The program is addressed to:
Those who wish to prepare and create a portfolio in order to continue their studies in Universities abroad.

After the successful completion, the students are given a certification of studies. The students who wish to get involved in the fashion industry , have the opportunity to continue their studies to the 1st year of Fashion Design & Construction course, excluding the modules they were taught in the FFD.

The Program
This program provides our students with the exclusive opportunity to develop their knowledge and specialize in the contraction of menswear always following the needs of the global market.
It is an innovative educational program, exclusively offered by PANSiK , initiating our students in new pattern making technologies whilst keeping in mind the new trends and techniques.
During their studies the students learn how to develop their research and develop and presentation abilities and finally the making of their idea in a 3D form.
At the end of the program the students will be in a professional level and will obtain a “library” of patterns.

Duration: 1 year

Teaching hours: 12 hours per week

The Program

In the fashion industry, technical fashion creators are the most wanted and the profession is established as the one with the fastest work establishment.

The course includes all the technical fashion areas (pattern making and enlargement). It focuses on different design techniques, from the conception of the garment until its finalized creation focusing on details and the high quality of sewing.

The students choose designs and learn how to discover all the possibilities of turning a design from 2D to 3D. Personal style is developed through different constructive methods, cutting and sewing. Students are also familiarized with all the necessary mechanical equipment for clothing construction and their safe and proper use.

The syllabus is based on the exclusively Italian system of PANSiK that excludes geometry.

INTRODUCTION

Shoe design is part of our everyday clothing and requires creativity, technical skills and paying attention to the details. In Greece, this field shows continuous growth, providing new job offers and an increase interest for handmade shoes.

SUMMARY

The program is exclusively provided in Greece by PANSiK and includes all the necessary fields from the design and the research until the final creation. It also includes market analysis and promotion in the fashion industry.

It is focused on the design and development of creative design and encourages experimentation with various techniques.

The Program

Styling can take place through art direction, personal styling, television styling, visual merchandising, photography direction and fashion filming.

A stylist throughout his artistic expression differentiates information from inspiration, in order to highlight the product as artistically yet commercially as possible.  His/hers creative work necessitates a great knowledge of all the fashion trends, history of fashion, terminology as well as additional knowledge on photography, makeup and hairstyling.

In this course, all the necessary professional skills are taught; in order for the student to develop aesthetics and become a well know Fashion Stylist, knowing all the market, customers and trend demands.

Throughout the year, the student create a  professional portfolio, participate in major fashion events and shows and obtain professional experience through internships next to the most distinguished stylists. Students are also taught how to properly and creatively present their projects and develop professional confidence.

The Course

A professional makeup artist is usually absorbed in the media industry. His responsibility is to provide an excellent outcome, technically and creatively, and interpret the needs of each customer. This can vary from a basic makeup to special effects for an advertise campaign. Students can participate in this program simultaneously with the styling program. Depending on the nature of the job, a makeup artist can work either as a free lancer, as a makeup assistant or as member of a makeup team. This program gives all the necessary knowledge and skills to a professional to work in industries like theatre, fashion, advertisement, TV, magazines, beauty salons, hair salons, cosmetics stores etc. The aim of this program is to help the students to constantly search for new ideas and inspiration. It is very important to always keep up with the new techniques and products and the participation in great fashion events.

The student throughout the year creates a professional portfolio, participates in great fashion events, enriches his resume through practice and develops professional confidence.

The Program

Fashion Management aims at the successful management, promotion and development of a fashion company, a brand, an event as well as a fashion professional.

We are going through challenging times, filled with changes which lead to a redefinition of institutions, ideas and values all for a significant and meaningful evolution. Fashion has always been a pioneer, not only regarding trends, clothes and accessories but also regarding aesthetics, the way of living and communication. The entire fashion industry is already one day ahead embedding new technologies and communications.

The fashion Management course is a realistic program based on theoretical and business orientation, taught by well known and successful professionals from the fashion industry.

The curriculum focuses on the fields that fashion and its products can be promoted and advertised (Event Planning, Public Relations, Direction of a Fashion Magazine, Media Management, Advertisement, Journalism, Art Direction, Marketing, Visual Merchandising), as well as all the ways in which students can promote their selves and stand out in the Market.

Significant innovation is the inclusion of social media training, in order to enable students to be successfully recruited as Social Media Managers in the Fashion Industry.

 

Combining theory with practice, our students have the opportunity to participate during their studies in international competitions, fashion shows and cultural events.

The academic tutors are well established professional s with a multiyear professional and educational experience on the field, who are constantly informed for all new developments and techniques in the fashion industry and applied arts.

Methodology

Aim of this program is the emphasis on the innovative sectors of communication, social media, marketing and branding as well as the analysis of social, cultural and technological aspects that affect the market.

In addition, it enables students to understand the work ethics of the profession, to develop a special ability to present verbally and in written a thesis and eventually create a team spirit for their potential future client.

PANSiK is the only school in Greece with such a great range of collaborations and events every year. Basic priority is for the students to receive a deep understanding of the subject and actively participate to all the above in order to have a rich resume already by their graduation.

This program exclusively provides:

  • Fashion meetings and creative discussions from well established professionals from the Greek and international market of fashion, arts and media.
  • Visits to cultural spaces, art shows, museums, fashion shows and showrooms.

The Academic coach is always available for our students, providing them with a full professional and psychological support. He is responsible for the guidance of our students, the editing of their CV and the coaching for job and university interviews.

Our connections office brings our students in a direct contact with the market for either an internship or a full time job. PANSiK holds a high network of collaborators who absorb every year our graduates.

 

  • Graduate Fashion Show

The final Annual Graduate Fashion Show represents the formal closure of the academic year.  With professional models and partners, our graduates get to showcase their capsule collections to a VIP crowd consisted of designers, stylists, fashion marketers and bloggers.

 

  • WHiTE pages fashion magazine

The annual fashion magazine, WHiTE pages, produced by PANSiK is another one of our great showcases of our students work. In collaboration with the biggest fashion photographers, our top students’ capsule collections are included in the editorials of the magazine and enrich their portfolios.

 

  • Collaborations

Every year PANSiK collaborates with important companies who are active in both Greece and globally. The purpose of these collaborations is the co planning of fashion events, art events, exhibitions and contests, providing our students with great additions to their portfolios.
